Aggreko is hiring a Technical pricing analyst, WACA.

Purpose of the job

The primary responsibilities in this area will be the provision of support to the Area General Manager WACA and Head of Sales and their staff on bids and pricing. This includes the responsibility for managing the Sales Order Process and Sales Register under the guidance of the Pricing Manager. It also involves the support of tender preparations to ensure timely issue for bids.

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities of the Technical Pricing Analyst

  • Accountable for WACA P&L process and output in respect to coordination and governance of the process.
  • To prepare Power Project Commercial Models including cost assessments based on input from O&T, Tax, Treasury, Regional teams.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury and regional idB Managers and or regional Business Development Managers to update the Commercial Model with best cost estimates available at the time of preparing the model and for the respective bid.
  • To update the risk register in the Power Project Commercial Model to ensure that the Managing Directors are aware of and adequately address all risk factors in quotations, during contract negotiations and pricing strategies and different options on risk management to maximise potential for contract award.
  • To liaise with the Sales personnel and O&T personnel to ensure that all quotations and other support information required by the regions is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to the regional Bid Managers and regional Business Development Managers.
  • Develop and implement tools and procedures to improve the bid and Commercial Model process.
  • Development of the P&L process especially around parametric costing and pricing modelling.
  • Inform plc on any quotations that are above 3 years so that necessary actions can be taken with respect to PRI, FX, guarantees, IRR model etc
  • Ensure that HFO models are only run when criteria set by Group are met and relevant approvals obtained
  • Review PDR costs with Regional/Central team to set the PDR budget through the project lifecycle and propose adjustments and actions accordingly

Desired Skills

  • Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • 2-3 years experience in a technical and/or engineering
  • Experience working in an international environment preferred

  • Capability to analyse and question the numbers when appropriate and work comfortably in situations where there may be ambiguity over the data and where initiative will need to be shown to make appropriate assumptions
