Head Of Secondary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Head of Secondary at Enko Waca.

As Head of Secondary, you will have the opportunity to lead the development and growth of the secondary section from its inception and you will be responsible for its general management. You will also be in charge of all academic issues as Coordinator MYP and be held responsible for the secondary section results. The Head of Secondary is reporting to the Head of School and will work closely with the primary school section, administrative staff and the wider Enko Education network to ensure a seamless and integrated education experience for our students.

The role of the Head of Secondary includes:

General management

• Lead the establishment and development of the secondary section, ensuring it is aligned with the vision and mission of Enko Education and with the IB MYP Curriculum
• Ensure the effective operation and management of the secondary section, including budget, facilities, resources and staffing management
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and teachers and ensure their satisfaction
• Report regularly to the Head of School with regards to secondary section life and key events

Human Capital management

• Recruit and manage a team of qualified and dedicated teachers and educators
• Encourage and support the professional development of all teachers, providing opportunities for growth and training

Learning & teaching

• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential
• Implement a challenging and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all students
• Initiate and pilot new ideas or required activities in order to meet objectives for exam results

Students ’recruitment

• Be an active ambassador of Enko Education by participating in all academic, non-academic and marketing activities
• Support the achievement of student recruitment targets and ensure that school fees are collected on time

The ideal candidate

• Holds a degree in Education or a related field, higher degrees are an asset
• Has minimum 5 years of experience as a leader in an IB school (coordinator, Head of School, principal)
• Is an International Baccalaureate (IB) enthusiast and is familiar with the Middle Years Programme and/or Diploma Programme
• Is fully proficient in both French and English
• Has experience in the accounting and financial management of an institution / association / company and is able to ensure financial monitoring and controlling, and to establish a budget
• Is able to assess the academic skills of teachers and to design and facilitate training programmes for teachers (proven experience in this regard is a plus)
• Is at ease with data collection and analysis and its usage for teaching and learning
• Experience with students with special needs is highly valued
• Is passionate about education and has a commitment to the well-being and success of all students
• Has excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Is rigorous, organised and capable of leading several projects at the same time
• Is results-oriented and pays attention to continuous improvement
• Is able to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Is curious, open-minded and eager to learn
