Robert Walters recruits a Key Channel Manager.

We are looking for a person to grow and increas market share (Volume and Value) of the whole Consumer Electronics business through respective channel and markets. Building and maintaining relationships with other influencers in target countries. The person will be based in Senegal and looking after Mauretania, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau.


  • Planning and executing initiatives to increase sales of CE business units in target area or country through the distributors
  • Increasing sell-through channels and retailers
  • Monitoring RRP models and advising dealers accordingly
  • Increasing sales through retailers
  • Organizing all Distributors/Dealer/Channels Partners conference
  • Building and managing relationships with all distributors to ensure sustained mutually benefiting business relationships
  • Monitoring competing distributor’s status and proposing initiatives to enable target distributors stay ahead of competition
  • Generating distributors sales forecasts (Volume, Value and Pricing) and monitoring RDP & RRP
  • Communicating through e-mail regarding weekly Sell-in forecast for 3 month,
  • Sell-thru forecast for 16 weeks, A/R status and things regarding CE biz
  • Quarterly and weekly planning mode
  • Ensuring distributors achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets
  • Monitoring the distributors inventory (PSI report) through GSBN, distributors sell-through forecast using SSI in GSCM, sell-in plans and WOS
  • Providing in-depth expertise of and driving sales through channel
  • Must manage in partnership with Finance and Marketing, payment process of Sales
  • Support given to distributors
  • AR Management
  • Shilhaeng & Sell-thru forecast
  • Accuracy

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Managing Distributor’s achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets mutually agreed with HQ.
  • Ability to initiate and execute distributor partnership programs
  • Minimum Week of Stock level at all times (Zero tolerance)
  • Timely signature of Memorandum of
  • Understanding with distributors
  • Timely payments by distributors of confirmed PFI (AR management)
  • Ability to develop, interpret and report business cases

Experience and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, economics or any other degree in management/social sciences
  • A minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience in a similar position with a minimum of two (2) of those years in the Consumer Electronics industry
  • Exposure to supply chain/logistics principles is an advantage
  • Possession of an MBA will be an added advantage
  • Exposure to supply chain/logistics principles is an advantage
